Delacroix Delacroix and Gabriele have such fun working together that we are contemplating that Gabriele might show Delacroix later this year in Inter I and GB at local shows. Delacroix is in such good shape and spirit despite his age of 20 years and he misses the lime light.
Prima Ballerina Prima Ballerina has been sold. Her new owner, Veronica is thrilled. Prima Ballerina will remain at AFI for training and will show with her new owner/rider this season.
Exupery Exupery has recovered completely. He and Caroline are fully integrated in the 2005 GP season in Europe. Please find below the latest results from November 2005, as follows: Exupery and Caroline competed at the German Masters in Stuttgart from 11/19 to 11/20/05. In GP the pair placed 12th with a score of 67.833% and qualified for the GPS. In GPS they placed 12th again with a score of 65.150%. Congratulations to Caroline, Exupery and of course to Arthur who continues to train this duo in such a successful manner! All of us at Ashanti Farm are very proud to have Arthur and Caroline on our team. Carreras Carreras, ridden by our Certified In-House Trainer Bruno Greber has fully recovered. Carreras & Bruno competed on October 22 and 23, 2005 at the Great American/USDF Reg 1 Finals at Lexington, VA. In GP Carreras seemed very hot and Bruno did a good job to finish the Test. The score was rather disappointing with 58.750, which placed them 2nd. In GPS Carreras remembered his duties and the score was already much, much better. They scored 67.800% and placed 1st again. Carreras’s 2006 Breeding Contract We are very proud to have Bruno on our Team. Congratulations also to Arthur Kottas, who trains our horses and riders so excellently.
Amidala Amidala, our now 6 year old Hanoverian Mare out of A Jungle Prince (Sire) and our States Premium Mare Waleksa M (Dam - out of World Cup 1) has begun her competing career this season. Amidala, in training with our Certified Trainer, Bruno Greber, since two years, is showing great Potential. Bruno is also much exited and has decided to show her himself. At Amidala and Bruno’s 5th competition this season at the VADA-CH Fall competition in  Spotsylvania show, held on September 11, 2005, they where the “Talk of the Town” again. They scored 75.000% in Test 1-4 and 71.429% in Test 1-3. At Amidala and Bruno’s 6th competition this season at the VADA/NOVA Autumn I show, held on September 17 and 18, 2005, they where the “Talk of the Town” again.  They scored on the 17th 75.417% in the Musical Freestyle 1st Level and 73.542% on the 18th in the Musical   Freestyle 1st Level. With Pride and Honor we are happy to announce that Amidala has placed 2nd in First Level with a Median Score of 75.556% in the USDF Horse of the Year Awards. In addition Amidala has placed 1st in the All Breed Awards with the AHS in 1st Level. Congratulations to Amidala and Bruno, who does a terrific job in training Amidala to become a “Dressage Star” of the future.
Derringer Derringer will start his Retirement at the end of November 2005. Being the reason of the existence of Ashanti Farm Inc, he will receive a generous Stall and his own large paddock and of course lots of attention, as always. He will still be used for breeding, since he has produced such wonderful offspring over the past decade. Thus Derringer is available for breeding in 2006 again. Look for Derringer on our homepage. News about Derringer is updated on this web site frequently. Fresh and Frozen Semen is available in the 2006-breeding season. The 2006 breeding contract for Derringer is available as of December 15, 2006.

Schindelhof

"Schindelhof", Evelyn Haim/Swarovski's breeding farm in Austria (photo to right) was Riviera's, Alfa Romea's and Prima Ballerina's home. Evelyn breeds the finest Austrian Warmblood Horses for Dressage and Jumping. Schindelhof is also the home of the young Stallion "Weinkoenig". Weinkoenig is a son of "Weltmeier", the famous Dressage Stallion. Our filly, Windsong, is a daughter to Weinkoenig.

News

The 2006 Breeding contracts for Derringer, Carreras & Exupery are online!

We will be showing Carreras and Amidala at the CDI 3* shows on March 3-5 and March 16-19 in Wellington. Carreras will compete in GP, GPS and GP MF and Amidala will be shown in 2nd Level. We wish Bruno and our horses all the Best and the Best of Performance. Show results will be posted in the April What’s New Page.

Together with our local Veterinarian, we are currently testing a new line of Homeopathic remedies, which were created in a seven-year research by our Austrian Friend, who is a very well respected Veterinarian with 20 years of experience. Among his clients in Europe are world famous dressage, jumper, hunter and event riders. We will share more information with you as it becomes available.

Upcoming Events

THE JULY 2006 CLINIC WITH ARTHUR KOTTAS ”

We have completed our arrangements with Arthur Kottas and a very happy to announce that we are planning to hold a three day clinic with Arthur from July 28 to July 30, 2006. Please find below the details for the upcoming clinic for your convenience. We will send detailed information to all our clients and customers and we will also advertise the clinic in local and national horse magazines.

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Arthur Kottas-Heldenberg, former First Chief Rider of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna-Austria, is visiting Ashanti Farm Inc. again for the last week of July 2006.
The Details for the July 2006 clinic are as follows:

We are planning to hold a 3-day clinic for a limited number of participants & auditors from July 28 to July 30, 2006.

The clinic is scheduled to start each day at 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Riding in the clinic is $180 for one day, $360 for 2 days and $500 for 3 days

Auditing is $65/day (Groups of three or more Auditors receive 20% off)

Stalls for boarding are arranged at Misty Ridge Farm at $39/day excluding hay and grain.

In addition, Mr. Kottas will hold a Lecture Demo in our indoor arena with demonstrations ridden by AFI riders and horses, on July 29, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM .The price for this event is $35 per person.

Clinic Entry Forms and Release Forms for Riders and Auditors are provided upon request via-email and/or facsimile and must be returned to AFI with payment on or before June 15, 2006.

If you are interested in participating in the July 2006 clinic, please notify us via e-mail at info@ashantifarm.com no later than May 15, 2006, to receive your Entry Forms.

Upon Riders & Auditors request, we offer to arrange a dinner with Mr. Kottas on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Fabio’s Pizzeria Restaurant in Gordonsville. People pay for themselves.
